Skin Cancer Screening Day 2014
The Gibraltar Health Authority held a Dermatology initiative at the Primary Care Centre on Saturday, 26th April 2014.
This initiative was aimed at looking at significant skin changes which could indicate skin cancer and was not for examination of chronic skin conditions. This initiative provided a unique opportunity for the public to have any notable skin changes checked out by the Dermatology team.
Visiting consultant dermatologists were available for confirmation of diagnostics on the day.
Concerned members of the public were advised to attend the Primary Care Centre via the main entrance between 9am – 11.30am and 2pm – 4.30pm where they could have moles and skin tags examined by a professional. No advance appointment was required.
Whilst the clinical team worked from within the PCC, Ms Wendy Clouter from UNITE and HPO Daya Dewfall manned a stall downstairs, providing health promotion leaflets and resources to the general public.
