CHAMP- An autumn of ‘Getting Fit and Active’, 29th September 2018
A variety of fun activities are being planned for the day; all aimed encouraging children and families to embrace an active lifestyle. The event will take place across two sites:
1) A morning of fun and games at Commonwealth Park (10am – 1pm) and
2) An afternoon of aquatic play at GASA pool (3-5pm).
All children and families are invited to attend the full day of activities; an Activity Passport will be given to children in the morning requesting various tasks be completed, including star jumps, a treasure hunt and water play. Pedometers, sponsored by Diabetes Gibraltar, will be presented as prizes amongst other goodies for successful participants.

For those that are not yet well acquainted with CHAMP, it stands for ‘Children, Healthy and Active! Multi-agency Programme’. Officially launched by the Minister for Health on 7th April, CHAMP aims to create an informative, pragmatic and supportive environment in which children and families are empowered to make appropriate choices towards healthy living.
