COVID-19 – Cleaning surfaces
Preliminary information suggests that the coronavirus may survive for a few hours on hard surfaces. However, common chemical disinfectants are able to kill the virus on contact. These include bleach/chlorine-based disinfectants, and solvents containing 75% ethanol (alcohol).
However, chemical products have little or no impact on the virus if you put them on the skin or under your nose. It is often very dangerous to put these chemicals on your skin.
