COVID-19 Home Isolation – Exercise
Finding the motivation to exercise when at home can be tough, more so if you home is small, your options of “exercise equipment” are limited, and living in close quarters means any additional noise could make you an bad neighbour.
Yet when you are stuck at home, it’s arguably even more important to keep yourself moving. Exercise can help:
- build stronger healthier bodies
- release constrained energy
- maintain weight
- relieve stress
- improve your mood and reduce depression
- lower rates of mortality
There are several online exercise options and you can choose one that best suits your preference. The World Health Organisation recommend at least 30 minutes of moderate activity a day, combined with time for some stretching activities.
