Mental health is important part of health in general. We all want to feel good about ourselves and the world around us – to be able to get the most from our lives and achieve the goals we set for ourselves. Feeling happy is a part of mental wellbeing but there is a deeper kind of wellbeing, which is about living in a way that is good for you and good for others around you. This includes feelings of contentment, enjoyment, confidence, self-esteem, self-confidence and engagement with the world. This does not mean that you never experience difficult feelings or situations, but that you feel you can cope when times are tougher than usual.
