World’s Biggest Coffee Morning – 25th September 2020
The first ever Coffee Morning took place in 1990as a small affair with a simple idea – guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective that it was repeated the following year. Since then, Coffee Morning has raised over £275 million for Macmillan.
One in two of us will face cancer, and the money you raise at your Coffee Morning will help everyone with cancer to live life as fully as they can. Having a Coffee Morning is the perfect chance to catch up over a cuppa and a slice of something delicious for a great cause.
People and organisations all over host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Cancer charities. With the current COVID-19 pandemic, this year you can hold your coffee morning whenever and however you like – even if you are not in the same room as your guests. Stay #COVID-19 safe! Follow best measures and avoid gatherings.
You can also opt to do something different for Macmillan’s Coffee Morning this September and take on a personal challenge – Put your lockdown fitness to good use and support people living with cancer with a run, walk or cycle and raise a mug to someone you love at the finish line.
